Marche is a central Region of Italy overlooking the Adriatic sea in its eastern Boundary. It is a region still to discover, rich with history – defined ‘Italy in miniature’; a not well known area is perfect for a bride and groom looking to do something different.

The main features are the mountains of the Apennine chain, which gently slope towards the sea along parallel valleys. Beaches to suit all tastes, for example the beach at Senigallia with its long fine sands, or wilder type beaches of Sirolo or Mezzavalle. Picturesque hillsides, with small towns or ‘borghi’ to visit and medieval rocks (Urbino, Gradara). The Appenine mountains moreover host the italian Monti Sibillini national park, a casket of Nature, Traditions, and Legends.

It has more than a million and a half inhabitants distributed in 5 provinces: Ancona capital city, Pesaro and Urbino, Macerata, Fermo and Ascoli Piceno. This last is a favorite place, the central historical part of the city is built in marble called travertine, a grey-hued stone extracted from the surrounding mountains; its central Renaissance square, Piazza del Popolo is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. This area is well worth considering for your event or wedding in Italy.

Traditional gastronomy, such as the rare white truffle of Acqualagna, and typical hams and cheeses, dishes based on fish, pasta definitely home-made and quality wines such as Rosso Conero or il Verdicchio.

The Region distinguishes itself by its beauty, excellences and noteworthy figures born here such as the poet Giacomo Leopardi, the composer Gioachino Rossini and Frederick II.
